This week Mary and I sat down to talk about the movie Disclosure Day, and honestly, it took us somewhere we didn't expect.
We know a movie like this can bring up fear. The title alone might make people brace themselves for something unsettling. But what we found was the opposite. This film is tender (and a bit Hollywoodish- action packed) . It's hopeful. At its heart, it's a story about humanity learning to be more empathetic, to truly listen to each other, and to find common ground even when we feel worlds apart.
What stayed with us most is the reminder that we are all one. Not as an abstract idea, but as something we can actually feel and live out in how we treat each other every single day. We talk about why a message like this matters so much right now, why it's worth sitting with the discomfort instead of turning away from it, and what it might look like if we let this kind of understanding guide us forward.
